We aim to maintain a safe and accessible facility for all passengers and visitors that pass through the doors of the Red Deer Airport.

There are many services available at the airport for those who may require additional assistance while travelling. If you have any questions about the following information or services, please contact the airport administration office directly at 403-886-4388.

Terminal Entrance – The Airport terminal entrance is located directly west of the airport parking lot. The doors on the northeast side of the building will take you to the departures area and Air Canada check in desk, and the doors on the southeast end of the building will take you to the arrivals and baggage claim area.

Curbside Pickup/Drop off Locations – There are curbside pickup and drop off areas located directly outside the terminal departures entrance. There are also several 2 hour parking spaces located in front of the terminal building.

Accessible Parking Spaces – There are several handicap parking spaces located outside of the terminal doors, directly across from from the curbside pickup and drop off area.

Security Screening – The Canada Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) is responsible for passenger and baggage screening at the airport. CATSA recognizes that travel can be challenging for passengers with special requirements and has created some tips on their website to ensure the security screening process is as easy as possible.

Washrooms – Wheelchair accessible washrooms are located inside the terminal building, down the hall from the departures terminal entrance doors.

Pet Relief Areas – Service animals are permitted to relieve themselves on any grassy area directly outside of the terminal building.

Wheelchair and Mobility Assistance – All of our public facilities are accessible by wheelchair. If you require wheelchair service within the terminal facility and to the aircraft you may arrange this through your airline agent upon arrival at the airport.
